Dubai: Feeling at Home

Hey guys! So whilst in Dubai, Nikky and I though it important to not be all about Date nights, Beach Days and Spa days.  Since we have family over in Dubai, we decided to visit and gave a family day out which was so refreshing!  We visited my fiancee’s auntie at her apartment in DownTown Dubai, and took a cab straight down to Jumeirah (Our favourite place in Dubai).

As the cab stopped outside of Jumeirah Beach Hotel (JBH) I was absolutely astonished with the lavish hotel building was and I was reminded of how gorgeous Dubai architecture really is.  As we were greeted into the hotel by staff, I saw phenomenal views through shields go glass, straight out on to the beach and ocean.  We walked down to where the restaurants were and decided to opt for a Jamie’s Italian!  Now in the past I had;t heard the best things about Jamie Oliver’s restaurants, however I thought if there is a branch in the JBH hotel then it must be great!  And it was!  I had the most tasty Chicken Ceasar Salad, Sweet Potato Fries and Popcorn Chocolate desert.  Even though the waitress was very forgetful and forgot parts of our order that we didn’t bother with in the end, the glasses of Wine and views of the Burj Al Arab were enough to make that part of the experience no longer an issue.

After roaming around the shops in the hotel and running into a few TOWIE cast members who were staying there, Nikky and I decided to spend the next day at the hotel.  We paid and stayed for the night, where we went to dinner and shisha (not at the JBH but at the Address hotel in DownTown Dubai) and discussed possibly going to 360 bar or Mahiki afterwards back at Jumeirah.

So after lunch Nikky and I decided to walk Khush (who is our aunt’s fabulous dog) around the water at the Burj Al Arab.  And after we headed straight back to the hotel to get ready for our drinks and dinner at The Address hotel.  Now this hotel was also stunning! Gold everything as you walk in, artistic sculptures everywhere, phenomenal interior design complimented by marble floors.  I had a Martini whilst Nikky had a very strong Strawberry Daiquiri, and we were allowed to smoke cigarettes and cigars inside! All in all a very mature experience, maybe not to everyones taste, but I definitely enjoyed it.

So after Dinner and Shisha we were way too tired to go to the clubs! Plus I was quite Sunburnt.  Headed back to the hotel and prepared for the next day (which was also our last day before flying out).

So we wake up in the morning have the most beautiful and healthy breakfast with fruit, eggs, and coffee and head down to the beach opposite the Marina where you can see minute little fishes swimming around your feet and Yachts in the Background.  We took a walk around the Burj Al Arab where you can see in the distance the Palm Atlantis then headed to the pool bar where we had non stop cocktails and food sent to our sunbeds.  All in all an amazing experience that I would urge anyone to do!
